How to make Waffle Design?

Hi friends, today I am going to tell you about waffle design. It is very simple and easy design. This design includes single crochet stitch and double crochet stitch.

Before starting a waffle design first you have to know how to make single crochet design?

To make a single crochet design you have to insert a hook into a chain then yarn over on hook and pull through it. You will notice that 2 loops remain on you hook. Then yarn over on hook and pull through it from all loops. There is only one loop remain on your hook. Now your first single crochet stitch is made.

The next step is to learn how to make double crochet?

To make a double crochet design first of all yarn over on hook and then insert a hook into a chain in which you want to make double crochet and then yarn over on hook and pull through it. At this time you will notice there are 3 loops on you hook than again yarn over on hook and pull through it from 2 loops on your hook And at this time you will notice 2 loops remain o your hook then again yarn over and pull through it from all loops remain on your hook. At the end there is only one loop remain on your hook. In this way your first double crochet is ready.

Let's start making waffle design:

First of all make a knot and then make 42 chains (or number of chains you want as per your crochet project size). 

To start a 1st row make a single crochet in each chain and at the end make one single chain to start a next row.

To start a next row you have to make a single chain. The total number of chain in next row is 2 then in next chain start making a double crochet in each chain. And at the end of the 2nd row make a single chain to start a next row.

To start a next row or 3rd row you have to make 2 double crochet in next 2 chains and in 3rd chain you have to make front double crochet with below double crochet (means insert a hook from front in 3rd double crochet of 2nd row to make double crochet). And then make 2 double crochet in next 2 chains. Then again make front double crochet with 2nd row double crochet.

Repeat this process until the 3rd row is not completed. And at the end of the row make a single chain.

To start a next row or 4th row you have to make back double crochet (means insert a hook from back in each double crochet of 2nd row to make double crochet) until the end of the 3rd row.

You will notice that your first waffle design is made.

Repeat the 3^rd and 4^th row step to make the number of waffle design you want in your crochet design.

Crochet Star stitch Cap design part 2

In previous post half cap design I had discussed with you and today I will discuss with you the rest of the cap design.

1.       After completing 16 rows let’s start with 17 row by making single crochet stitch in each chain of previous row design. At the end make a slip stitch to complete the 17^th row.

2.       In 18^th row make a single chain and then repeat the 17^th step to complete the 18^th step or row. At the end make a slip stitch to complete the 18^th row.

3.       To start a 19^th row make a chain and then make double crochet stitch in each chain of previous row design. And don’t forget to make a slip stitch to complete the 19^th row.

4.       Now start making 20^th row with 3 single chain and then repeat the process of making star crochet stitch to complete the row.

5.       In 21^st row or step you have to make 2 double crochet in each eye of half star stitch to complete the 1^st star in 21^st row.

6.       Make 2 double crochet in each half star stitch to complete the star. Repeat this process to complete this row and at the end make slip stitch to complete a circle.

7.       In 22^nd row make a chain and then make a double crochet in each chain to complete the row and at the end make a slip stitch to complete the row.

Now start making a brim of cap:

1.       First of all divide the number of chains in two parts. The total number of chains is 105 . The half of front cap design skip 3 chains by making slip stitch and then start making half double crochet which act as a brim of cap. Continue making half double crochet until only 3 chains left in half cap chains. At the end make a slip stitch.

2.       To stats a next row you have to turn the cap and make a chain. Next skip 2 chains and then start making half double crochet.  You have to remember that you also have to skip 2 chains at the end of the row. Make a slip stitch before 2 chains to complete the row.

3.       To start a next row you have to make a chain and again skip 2 chains and in 3^rd chain make half double crochet. Make half double crochet in each chain of 3^rd row and make a slip stitch prior the 2 chains remain at the end of 3^rd row.

4.       Repeat the same steps of 3^rd row to complete the 4^th row. And the end makes a slip stitch to complete the 4^th row design.

5.       You can repeat the above process to increase the number of rows in brim if you want to increase the length of a brim. I only increase the brim size of a cap to 4^th row.

The length of crochet cap is 8 inches and the width of a cap is 10 inches.

The brim length is 1.3 inches and width is 9.4 inches.

Star Stitch Cap Part 1

Hi, everyone today I will tell you “how to make crochet cap with simple crochet stitches?”

Let’s start,

1.       Make a circle:  First of all make five chains and then with the help of first chain make a slip stitch. A circle is formed.

2.       Double Crochet Stitch: The first step is completed now in second step you have to make 15 double crochet with the help of hole which act as centre. First you have to make a single chain and then start making 12 double crochet stitches and at the end make a slip stitch to complete the circle.

3.       In next step first of all male a single chain and then you have to increase the size of the cap by making 2 double crochet designs in each chain of first design. The total of double crochet in this step is 30. And after making 30 double crochet stitches make a slip stitch to complete the circle.

4.       In this step make a first chain and then you still have to increase the cap size by making one double crochet in first chain of 3^rd row design and then in next chain make 2 double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the circle and in last make a slip stitch. You will notice that in this step you had made 45 double crochet stitches.

5.       In this step make a first chain and then repeat the 4^th step to complete the circle but there is slight difference in 5^th step that is you have to make 2 single double crochet in next 2 chains and then make 2 double crochet in next chain. It means after making a single chain you have to make 4 double crochet in next 3 chains. And then repeat this process (make double crochet in 4^th chain and again make double crochet in 5^th  chain and in 6^th chain make 2 double crochet) and in the end make slip stitch with the help of 1^st double crochet of 5^th step. The total number of double crochet is 60.

6.       In this step again start with making a first chain and then start increasing the size of cap by making 3 single double crochet in each 3 chains and in 4^th chain make 2 double crochet. Repeat this process to complete a circle at the end you will notice you have made 75 double crochet. Don’t forget to make a slip stitch at the end of a design to complete the circle.

7.       Star stitch: Make 3 chains and then make star stitch design in previous post I told you “how to make a star stitch design?” Repeat that step here to complete a circle and at the end make a slip stitch.

8.       In this step make 2 half crochet in each eye of design to complete the star design. The total number of star design is 38.

Note: If you think the cap size is small or tight then increases the size in 8^th step by making 3 half double crochet instead of 2.

9.       Repeat 7 and 8 step to make 9 and 10 row of circle.

10.   Repeat 9 and 10 row star stitches to complete 16 rows. But if you increases the size of cap, then in 12^th step and in further step also you have to make a star design without increasing the size of cap. It means you are making only 2 half double crochet instead of 3.

Crochet Flower

Hi, today I am going to tell you how to make a crochet flower with the help of basic crochet stitches. With the help of crochet hook and knowledge of basic stitches you can make different designs. So, let's start making a Crochet flower step by step:

Making a crochet flower involves two process first is making a pollen of a flower and second is making a petals of it.

 Start first process of making pollen of a flower:

• Make 3 chains and then make a slip stitches with the help of 1st chain. You will see the circle is formed.
• Then make 1 chain.
• After that you have to make 10 half double crochet with the help of centre of a circle.
•  After completing the 3rd step make a slip stitches by inserting a hook in first half double crochet stitches.

Your first process is completed cut the yarn after making a knot. so, that your yarn will not be open.

 Now start a second process that is making petals:

(To make a petal you have to use different colour of yarn. I am taking yellow for petal. You can choose whatever colour of petals you want.)

• Hold your pollen in your hand and you will see that upper side of half double crochet design the chain is formed. You have to insert a hook in that chain grab a different colour of yarn with the hook to make a petals and then make a chain. So, that the yarn does not move from its position.
• And then make 5 chains.
• In 5th chain make a half double crochet.
• In next 3 chains make double crochet.
• In last chain you have to make half double crochet. 

The first petal is formed. To attach with the pollen you have to make slip stitches.

 Now i will tell you how to make 2nd petal of a flower so, that you can make further petals to complete the flower.

Steps to make the 2nd petal:

• After making slip stitches to complete the 1st petal make a chain (this chain is not counted) and then make another chain by inserting a hook into the first chain of 1st petal. So, that the 2nd petal looks like, it attach with 1st petal.
• And then make 4 chains. The total number of chains is 5.
• In 5th chain make half double crochet.
• In next 3 chains make double crochet.
• In last chain make half double crochet.

In this way your 2nd petal is ready. Make a slip stitch by inserting a hook into the chain of pollen and then yarn over on hook and pull through it. So, there is only one loop on a hook.

 Now you have to repeat the process of making 2nd petal to make further petals of flower. The total number of petals I made was 9.

Crochet Socks for 2 years Kids

Crochet Socks for 2 years kids:

To make a crochet socks first of all make a knot and then make 3 single chains and that make a slip stitch with 1 single chain.

The circle is formed, now the next step is to start a 1^st row by making 12 half double crochet. After making 12 half double crochet make a slip stitch to complete the 1^st row.

To start a 2^nd row first of all make 1 single chain and then make 2 half double crochet in single chain. Repeat this process to complete the 2^nd row. The total number of half double crochet is 24. After making 24 half double crochet make a slip stitch to complete the 2^nd row.

(To increases the number of stitches further make single half double crochet and in next chain make 2 half double crochet in same chain. Repeat this process to complete the row)

To start a 3^rd row, make a single chain and then make half double crochet in each chain. In this row there is no need to increase stitches. The total number of half double crochet is 24. And at the end of making 24 half double crochet make a slip stitch to complete the row.

Repeat the 3^rd row step to complete the 4^th row.  You have to repeat this step to complete the further 9 rows. The total number of rows of half double crochet is 13.

After completing the 13^th row, now you have to start making a slipper by starting 14^th row. In 14^th row make a chain and then make 12 half double crochet in each chain. And then make a slip stitch to finish the 14^th row.

To start a 15^th row make a single chain and then make 12 half double crochet in each chain. And then make a slip stitch to finish the 15^th row.

Repeat the 15^th row step to complete the 16^th row.

In 17^th row you will start decreasing the stitches, to start a 17^th row make a single chain and then make 4 half double crochet in first  4 chains and by joining next 2 chains that is 5^th or 6^th chain make one half double crochet (decrease the one  stitches). Repeat this step to complete the 17^th row. And then make a slip stitch to finish the 17^th row. The number of chain remains for next row is 10.

To start 18^th row make a single chain and then make 3 half double crochet and by joining the next 2 chains make one half double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the 18^th row. The number of chain is 8.

To start 19^th row make a single chain and then make 2 half double crochet and by joining the next 2 chains make one half double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the 19^th row. The number of chain is 6.

To start 20^th row make a single chain and then make 1 half double crochet and by joining the next 2 chains make one half double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the 20^th row. The number of chain is 4.

The slipper is ready now, the next step is to make a half double crochet in semi -circle form. Repeat this process to complete the 2 rows.

In 23^rd row make a single chain and then make 3 half double crochet and by joining next 2 chains make one half double crochet. In this way you covered ankle side. One thing always remembers that; don’t decrease the front side of socks. When you reached the front side of socks make as half double crochet in each chain (number of chain in front side is 8).

To start 24^th row make a single chain and then make 2 half double crochet and by joining the next 2 chains make one half double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the 24^th row. And in front side of socks make one single half double crochet in each chain.

To start 25^th row make a single chain and then make 1 half double crochet and by joining the next 2 chains make one half double crochet. Repeat this step to complete the 25^th row. And in front side of socks make one single half double crochet in each chain.

In 26^th row there is no decrease in number of stitches and to start this row make a single chain and then make a half double crochet in each chain. At the end of the row make a slip stitch.

You can repeat the 26^th row steps if you want long socks.

Crochet Shoes for Adult

Crochet Shoes for adults:

Today I will discuss about crochet shoes for adults. In every step in this project I measured my foot to check the size of the shoes. I m added a single chain and half double crochet stitches design in my shoes.

To start this project makes a knot and then make 3 chains.

And then make a slip stitch with 1^st chain to make a circle.

Now to start a first row make a 12 half double crochet in that circle. After making 12 half double crochet make a slip stitch with 1^st half double crochet to complete the 1^st row.

To start a 2^nd row make a single chain and then make 2 half double crochet in same chain. In this way 24 half double crochet are made in 2^nd row. After making 24 half double crochet make a slip stitch with 1^st half double crochet to complete the 2^nd row.

In 3^rd row make a single chain and then make a single half double crochet in same single crochet stitch chain and then in next chain make 2 half double crochet in same chain. In third chain make single half double crochet and in 4^th chain make 2 half double crochet in same chain. Repeat this process to complete the 3^rd row. The total number of half double crochet in 3^rd row is 36. And then make a slip stitch. In this way you can increase the number of stitches in shoes.

(If you want further increase in the number of stitches then make 2 half double crochet in next 2 chains and then make 2 half double crochet in next chain or 3^rd chain.)

In 4^th row make half double crochet in each chain and at the end make a slip stitch to complete the 4^th row. The total number of stitch is 36.

Repeat this step to complete the 26^th row with single half double crochet.

If you measured your foot you will notice that it is perfectly fit on a toe. Now we start to make a slipper. And for that make 18 half double crochet. When you made 18^th half double crochet make a single chain and then start a next row.

When you reach at the bottom of the foot or sole start decreasing the stitches by making 4 half double crochet in each chain. And with the help of next two chains make one half double crochet (decrease stitch).

Repeat this process to complete the first row.

Make a single chain and then, start a next row by making 3 half double crochet and then make one half double crochet with the help of 2 chains (decrease stitch). Repeat this process to complete the 2^nd row.

Make a single chain and then, start a next row by making 2 half double crochet and then make one half double crochet with the help of 2 chains (decrease stitch). Repeat this process to complete the 2^nd row.

Note: Measured your foot for increasing or decreasing the size of the stitches in your project.

If your slipper is perfectly fit on your foot then make a upper part of the shoes with the help of making the same design or if you want to add new design you can add on it.  The number of stitches is decreases if you make upper part of the shoes, In that way it is perfectly fit on your leg. To decrease the stitch repeat the process as we discuss above in case of making sole of the shoes.
